SEO Vs Google Ads - Which One Is Better?

[ad_1]

Companies and shops that have created a website to showcase their products/services would certainly like as many potential customers to find it. However, they should find a way for their website to land on top of search results. When viewers are able to search their products/services on Google, their webpage is displayed in either organic search results or Google paid ads.

Organic Search Results and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

People can find organic search results just below paid ads. If businesses like to rank among the top in organic search results, they have to optimize their site.

Google's first and foremost objective is to direct users to the most relevant, high quality content related to the topic they are searching.

Advantage

SEO lets their webpage appear in search results with no costs. Their efforts will produce results that will last for so long.

Disadvantage

SEO is a very long, continuous activity and certainly, competition is working hard as well. More often than not, the results of their efforts take time. In addition, if they want to retain or improve their ranking in search results, they need to optimize on a regular basis. They should allocate part of their budget in hiring the services of a professional.

Google Paid Ads - Google AdWords

Pay Per Click (PPC) are paid ads on Google that can be seen in the first 3 positions, somewhere on the right side and at times at the bottom. Google AdWords help businesses by letting them create a campaign.

Advantage

Paid advertising gets instant results. Ads for potential clients will immediately be displayed. Unlike the traditional ads in media or TV, businesses only pay for customers that engage like when they click on the ads and not for views. When advertising on Google, businesses reach out to viewers who are searching for the products/services they offer.

Disadvantage

When businesses optimize for keywords that are too general, the PPC can cost a lot. For this reason, they need to optimize the ads the proper way. In addition, when the advertising campaign expires or lacks budget, all of a sudden, the ads stop displaying and these result to losing valuable visitors.

The Best Choice of Method

It is best to combine both methods. To optimize a website the proper way from the beginning and prime it with content, it is best to make ads on Google. To draw more visitors or potential customers to a site, they can opt to use Google AdWords.

When you think of a white hat you may think of the Kentucky Derby or a Royal Wedding but in SEO speak it means the group of techniques that use the best practice, the ones that earn you all the gold stars and brownie points, the ones that don't use bad manipulations to gain traction or ranking, but those who do what they do to the best of their abilities, create wonderful content and follow all the rules. Things like time on page is pretty self explanatory. There are actually people out there who analyze data like how long people spend on a certain site. They are timed and when they click out that data is collected. You optimally want people to spend some time on your site, not just click in and out in three se...

However after the recent updates, it seems that pleasing the teacher got a little tougher! Google Panda Update & SEO Articles In Feb 2011, Google came up with the Google Panda update with the intention to improve the search result quality. As a result many sites with a lot of ads and low quality content started to fade off. They were replaced with quality content based sites, social networking sites, news sites etc. In this way Google gave an indication that SEO content writing techniques used previously which included keyword stuffing, spinning etc were out of the window.
