Blogger Vs WordPress

[ad_1]

Quality

The quality of both WordPress and Blogger are exceptional. Each blogging platform has good up-time stats and each blogging platform is designed to display properly in all web browsers. Again, Blogger and WordPress are both good platforms to choose whether you are starting out, or you are an experienced blogger. There are a few more options if you use WordPress, but I'll explain later.

The quality of both blogging platforms are equal, however, if you need help or need to contact customer service, both Blogger and WordPress fail. I have needed to contact both blogging platforms before, and both services are extremely un-helpful. WordPress has a resource where you can contact customer service through email, but I have never received replies. Google however, does not have any contact information, but they have user discussion forms. And often times my questions have been answered by other members of those forms. Never directly by Google Blogger.

User friendly

Many people disagree on this subject, but the truth is that Blogger is more user friendly then WordPress. WordPress has many plug-ins which are available to download to your blog, but each one takes a certain amount of knowledge to set up. Also, changing the template can be a challenge (unless you use a WordPress template) because many custom templates make changing color and arrangement difficult. So, unless you know in-depth HTML and CSS it may be a challenge.

Many people dislike Blogger for different reasons, but Blogger has some great tools for beginner bloggers and expert bloggers alike. You don't need to know much about HTML and CSS, but knowing basic coding will help you out when you need to customize the template. Changing the colors is easy thanks to the user friendly color and font converter tool in Blogger.

There are not many plug-ins available for Blogger, however many developers are coming up with easy to integrate widgets which can be added to the template. However, HTML and CSS knowledge is required for adding these widgets.

Interface

The user interface of WordPress is in-depth and great for an expert blogger. However, with some learning and playing around with different tools within the WordPress user interface, you can begin to learn how to make your blog even better. Knowing what each section of your account interface is used for will help you understand how to navigate and change different aspects of your blog with ease.

Blogger's interface is extremely easy to navigate. With easy to use color/font changer tools, and with an easy flash template rearrange tool, it makes it extremely easy for any beginner to set up a blog with Blogger. Whether you use a basic Blogger template or a complete custom template, it will be easy to change the layout and colors without knowing anything about HTML or CSS.

Options

As mentioned in the previous paragraphs, options for WordPress are easier to find and easier to install with basic coding knowledge. Finding plug-ins for WordPress is super easy; there is a WordPress marketplace for plug-ins as well as many free downloadable plug-ins from other sites. For many free plug-ins just Google 'WordPress Plug-ins'.

Not as many options are available for Blogger, but there are a few basic options available for you to add to your Blogger blog. Many of these custom features for your Blogger account will be very valuable especially if you are using a custom template. In order to add these custom features such as a 'read more' button or any flash widgets, you must know HTML and CSS. If not, it will make it extremely difficult to figure out how to install these custom Blogger options.

For beginner or expert

Both Blogger and WordPress are as difficult as you want to make them. You can create a basic blog with WordPress or Blogger, and make some basic customizations. However, if you start to become more creative and if you want to have a more in-depth blog, using WordPress will make it more difficult for you. But Blogger will make it easier to customize basic elements. Over all, WordPress is for Experts, and Blogger is for anyone including beginners and experts.

Magnetization

Both Blogger and WordPress offer the same basic methods for making money from your blog. Basic methods for magnetization include text affiliate links and banner ads. But, Blogger allows you to embed AdSense on your blog, and WordPress does not. So, if you are creating a blog to make money, use Blogger.

Over all

Blogger vs WordPress is a debate that will brew for many years. Many people swear by WordPress, and many people swear by Blogger. The one downside to using WordPress is any customization you want to make will cost you. You cannot upload a custom template for free; you cannot make any custom changes for free. However, Blogger is all free, no matter what custom change you make; it is completely 100% free.

SEO Meanings

[ad_1] Like with most things, computer speak has a language all its own. When you create a website you most likely will encounter a lot of new lingo, and while some of it actually makes a lot of sense there are some terms that may be a bit weird, even for the techy among us. When you think of a white hat you may think of the Kentucky Derby or a Royal Wedding but in SEO speak it means the group of techniques that use the best practice, the ones that earn you all the gold stars and brownie points, the ones that don't use bad manipulations to gain traction or ranking, but those who do what they do to the best of their abilities, create wonderful content and follow all the rules. Things like time on page is pretty self explanatory. There are actually people out there who analyze data like how long people spend on a certain site. They are timed and when they click out that data is collected. You optimally want people to spend some time on your site, not just click in and out in three se...

SEO Articles After Google Panda Updates

[ad_1] As an obedient online marketing student, you've been creating content for your websites, trying to please the teacher, ie, Google. However after the recent updates, it seems that pleasing the teacher got a little tougher! Google Panda Update & SEO Articles In Feb 2011, Google came up with the Google Panda update with the intention to improve the search result quality. As a result many sites with a lot of ads and low quality content started to fade off. They were replaced with quality content based sites, social networking sites, news sites etc. In this way Google gave an indication that SEO content writing techniques used previously which included keyword stuffing, spinning etc were out of the window. If you wanted to achieve good SERPs, you have to create SEO articles that are meaningful and need not be too "sales-y". So, what do you do to create effective articles that will please the search engines? Content Based on Keyword Group To begin with forget about s...
